Datenschutzerklärung
This Privacy Policy describes how KINT (kinthouse.com, the "Site" or "we") collects, uses and shares your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from the Site. Any information that can identify you is called "Personal Information" below.
Last updated: October 4, 2026
1. Information we collect
Device information. Your browser version, IP address, time zone, cookie information, the pages and products you view, your search terms and how you interact with the Site. It is collected automatically through cookies, log files, tags and pixels, and we use it to load the Site correctly and to understand how it is used.
Order information. Your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information, email address and phone number. You give it to us when you order, and we use it to process your payment, ship your order, send you confirmations, screen orders for fraud and, where you have agreed, tell you about our products.
Customer support information. Whatever you include when you write to us, such as your order number, photos and the content of your message. We use it to help you.
2. How we use your information
We use your Personal Information to provide our services to you:
- Offering products for sale and processing payments
- Shipping and fulfilling your order
- Answering your questions and handling returns
- Preventing fraud and keeping the Site secure
- Keeping you up to date on new products and offers, where you have agreed to it
3. Sharing your information
We share your Personal Information with service providers that help us run the store and fulfill our contract with you:
- Shopify powers our online store. Read how Shopify uses your information at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.
- Payment providers process your payment. We do not store your full card number.
- Carriers and fulfillment partners receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your order.
- Email and messaging providers send our order updates and newsletters.
We may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request, or to otherwise protect our rights.
4. Advertising and analytics
We use your Personal Information to show you advertising and marketing we believe may interest you. We share information about your use of the Site, your purchases and your interaction with our ads with advertising and analytics partners such as Google and Meta, in some cases through cookies or similar technologies, which you may consent to depending on your location.
You can opt out of targeted advertising here:
- Meta: https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads
- Google: https://adssettings.google.com
- Google Analytics: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
- Digital Advertising Alliance: https://optout.aboutads.info
5. Email and text marketing
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we send you emails about new products, sleep guides and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
If you opt in to text messages, we may send you order notifications, including cart reminders, and marketing offers. Marketing texts will not exceed 6 a month, and consent is not a condition of any purchase. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
6. Cookies
A cookie is a small file downloaded to your device when you visit the Site. Cookies remember your actions and preferences, such as your cart and region, and tell us how the Site is used.
- Necessary cookies make the store work: your cart, checkout, login and security.
- Analytics cookies measure visits, landing pages and referrals.
- Advertising cookies help us measure and show relevant ads.
The cookies set by our store platform are listed at https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies. Session cookies last until you close your browser; persistent cookies expire between 30 minutes and two years after they are set.
You can accept, block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how the Site works, and it does not by itself stop the sharing described in the Advertising section; use the opt-out links there.
7. Do Not Track
Because there is no consistent industry understanding of how to respond to "Do Not Track" signals, we do not alter our data collection and usage practices when we detect such a signal from your browser.
8. How long we keep it
When you place an order, we keep your Personal Information for our records unless and until you ask us to erase it. We may keep certain order and payment records longer where tax, accounting or other laws require it.
9. Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions with a legal or similarly significant effect on you by fully automated means.
Our processor Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud, which does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you:
- A temporary denylist of IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions, which lasts a small number of hours.
- A temporary denylist of credit cards associated with denylisted IP addresses, which lasts a small number of days.
10. Your rights: EEA and United Kingdom
If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you, to port it to a new service, to ask that it be corrected, updated or erased, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email info@kinthouse.com.
We process your Personal Information on these lawful bases:
- Your consent
- The performance of the contract between you and the Site
- Compliance with our legal obligations
- Our legitimate interests, which do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms
Your Personal Information is initially processed in Ireland and then transferred outside of Europe for storage and further processing, including to Canada and the United States. For how these transfers comply with the GDPR, see Shopify's GDPR information.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Your rights: United States
If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law, you have the right to know what Personal Information we hold about you, to receive a copy of it, to ask that it be corrected or deleted, and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. To make a request, or to name an authorized agent to make it for you, email info@kinthouse.com.
Sale and sharing. We do not sell your Personal Information for money. Sharing information with advertising partners, as described in the Advertising section, may count as a "sale" or "sharing" under some state laws. You can opt out with the links in that section or by emailing us. We do not knowingly sell or share the Personal Information of anyone under 16.
12. Minors
The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not intentionally collect Personal Information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us Personal Information, email info@kinthouse.com to request deletion.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
